Principle photography has officially wrapped. I've made it through about 70% of the footage review. And, yes, we are still alive and working! We did a little bit of pickup shooting in December, right before Christmas and we have another pickup shoot this week.
Production is motivated by all the excitement and action of shooting characters, working with crew and running from location to location. But production being over, the road ahead is now the post-production process. On a superficial level it is the slowest part of the project and involves a lot of sitting in a semi-dark room for hours and hours at a time. Yet, this is the part where the story really comes together. Where it is crafted and woven to become entertaining and captivating. It is where the best motivation is grit, coffee, and a regular editing schedule.
Time to cowboy up and start cutting the metaphorical celluloid (dang, I wish it was real celluloid)!
